Yesterday's book signing
I had the privilege of participating in a book signing yesterday at Loyola Univerity's bookstore. I signed a number of my streetcar books, and got to meet the authors of these books:

Earl Higgins' The Joy of Y'at Catholicism is a fantastic look at New Orleans through the eyes of the dominant religion of the city. Earl is a 1955 graduate of Jesuit High School who remembers the 7-cent streetcar fare and "riding the belt," so he's OK in my book.
Sandrine's Letter to Tomorrow is the first (of hopefully many) novels by Dedra Johnson:

That's LisaPal on the phone, pimping Dedra's book. Thanks to Lisa, I don't think the bookstore has all that many copies of the novel left.
Thanks to Paul for inviting us!

Middle Son enjoyed meeting y'all and is bringing books to put under the tree. :)
heh, he was a bit embarrassed that he had to explain that his mom is "sophmom," but then when he saw we just laughed, he was cool with it... :-)
LOL. He's met a bunch o' bloggers. I think Loki and Maitri were first (an ambush at his place of work!). Since then he's been out to brunch and then to dinner with Dangerblond and visited Adrastos and Dr. A at the shop and then for a beer after closing. I think he's taking a class from Dale (Flood & Loathing) this coming spring. He lived two blocks from Ray for almost two years but I don't think they ever met. He's resigned to the whole blogger thing. Thanks again.
Sounds great! Your blog is one of my most favorite now ;). You have hit the nail on the head, just like you always do.
Looks perfectly straight to me. Of course, I'm also the type of person who allegedly [ahem! allegedly] agree with everything.
