Captain Gallagher was one of the good ones:
KENNER, La. -- Longtime Kenner police Capt. James Gallagher died Tuesday night, Chief Steve Caraway said. Gallagher was found unresponsive in Lafreniere Park, where he was jogging. He suffered an apparent heart attack, according to Caraway. Gallagher served for 37 years. He had retired but later returned as the department's public information officer.
